CHANGE ALL YOUR HYPERLINKS IN YOUR SIGNATURE LINE 4-12-2022
Ok everyone, since we moved the forum site to the new VBulletin servers, PREVIOUS signatures to 4-4-2022 that had links to articles or posts probably no longer work and need to be changed ASAP. All hyperlinks that start with https://www.afnash.com OR https://www.nroa2003.com OR links starting with https://www.nroa2003.com/forum/forum/ need to be changed whether working now or not. As soon as I take the re-directs off those domains your links will no longer work, so change them now please.
Everyone needs to change these hyperlinks themselves as there is no way for me to go in and check everyone's signatures and make these changes. Please follow the instructions below to make these changes. If you have any questions please reply to this post.
1. On the very top toolbar, you will see your forum name with a down arrow to the right side of your user name.
2. Click on your forum name and choose "User Settings. This sill take you to your personal account control panel where you can make changes to your signature as well as other features.
3. Scroll down this page about half way to a section called "Conversation Detail Options, Visible Post Elements".
4. Under "Visible Post Elements" your will see "Show Signatures" and "Show Avatars". Click these on if you haven't already. Under these two clickable boxes is where you will find the "Edit Post Signature" link.
5. Click the "edit Post Signatures" link. This will bring up a popup box with the contents of your signature in a text format (letters and symbols).
6. Find the text containing your hyperlinks. They will be inside of the BB code and in the middle of brackets like this [ ]. I can't include these brackets in these instructions as the server will transform them into hyperlinks and hide all that I am try to tell you.
They will look something like this:
1: "https://www.nroa2003.com/forum/filedata/fetch?id=246576"]My 27-5l Manual
OR
2. "https://www.nroa2003.com/forum/forum/filedata/fetch?id=246576"]My 27-5l Manual
7. Copy the entire hyperlink as listed above and paste it somewhere you can keep it until you make the changes below and make sure the changes you make work before deleting them. This is what we call a backup in case you do something incorrectly. If you do not back up these links first, and change them and have a mistake, don't start crying to anybody but yourself.
8. Make the following changes to the hyperlink line that looks like yours:
1; You need to change the first part of this coding from (https://www.nroa2003.com) to (https://466bc409fc54-005959.vbulletin.net)
The end result will look like this https://466bc409fc54-005959.vbulletin.net/forum/filedata/fetch?id=246576"]My 27-5l Manual
OR
2. You need to change the first part of this coding from (https://www.nroa2003.com/forum) to (https://466bc409fc54-005959.vbulletin.net)
The end result will look like this https://466bc409fc54-005959.vbulletin.net/forum/filedata/fetch?id=246576"]My 27-5l Manual
7. Pay very close attention to detail as even one character off or missing will make the entire link not work.
8. What you are doing is making sure that hyperlinks point to the new domain location of https://466bc409fc54-005959.vbulletin.net, and in the second case changing the domain location and also eliminating the double "/forum" which makes browsers look for another /forum location that does not exist.
As stated above, if you have any issues or questions please post your comment as a reply in this post.
