  • Just purchased a 2015 27-5L

I just purchased this 2015 Arctic Fox 27-5L from a gentleman here in WA state, about 4 hours from me. I had to borrow my friends F-350 Long Bed (with 5th wheel hitch) to tow it home, as my Ram 2500 doesn't have a fifth wheel hitch and doesn't have enough payload anyway (will need "new to me" truck by spring). Previous owner was great and very helpful, I towed it home without any drama, now I'm working on "personalizing" it and outfitting it for our purposes.Click image for larger version

Quick, put a block on this website. Do not look at mods for the 27-5. Doing this will save you countless hours of your time and hundreds or thousands of dollars. BTW, if those are original tires, they are due for replacement. May as well pack the bearings when you change the tires. And since you're already there, add disc brakes, MorRyde and wet bolts.......

Here is what I feel is the best link with the install of the little window next to the wardrobe slide. https://466bc409fc54-005959.vbulleti...oom-window-add

          Enjoy your new Fox!

Was that the really well priced, 27-5L with some good options added for sale on Craigslist? If so, it looked like a good buy! Actually I saw the ad here on the forum. Same? And if so, a good buy under the present economy.

I'm not sure if it was on the forum at all? I joined the forum when our purchase was imminent... It was on Craigslist and very aggressively priced. The owners were the first owners and were great to deal with. They have reached the point after 50 years of camping, where they are going to be happy staying in a hotel during their travels. They were in Anacortes, so it was a 4 hour drive each way for me, from the SW WA/Vancouver area. The trailer is in great shape, IMHO, with no major issues. We couldn't be happier! We are a family of five, with three teenagers, one of which is leaving the nest next year. I will likely remove the dinette and either go with 2 sofa/sleepers, or a bunk and a sofa bed, for the next few years, until they all leave the nest.
