We are planning on traveling from our home in Idaho over to the Redwood State Park area the week before the Rally. We will come out of Idaho in Ontario and go down through Burns then on through Silver Lake area and on to Crescent City and beyond. I am wondering if anyone knows of a good location to stop for the night somewhere between Burns and Silver Lake, or if maybe a different route would be a better drive with other options.

Been down southern Oregon a few times now but never took that turn to the west. Never even heard of silver lake before! Looks like we have a new direction to check out!
Google maps lists a few rv parks along the route you asked about.
Have fun and do not feel obligated to add to your travel story from last year.....

I have seen the parks on Google maps, was hoping to see if anyone had recommendations on any of them.
We are on spring break vacation, so I will try to get a story up for our adventure last year.----------------------------------

A former favorite place of ours to stay was Burns RV park. We stayed there last year and it will be our last time to stay there. New ownership and the place is a mess. Bathrooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned in forever, some mold here and there among other filth. We remain hopeful the new owners will get their act together and it will be a nice place to stay again.
We haven't been through there since then so we haven't tried any other places in the area.2016 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali 4x4 Diesel

If your just looking for a spot to spend the night (no hookups), the Sage Hen Rest Area about 17 miles west of Burns is very nice. We've stopped there several times. Large, fairly flat paved parking area. Never have found it to be busy or noisy.2016 Ram 3500 Longhorn: 4X4, Crew Cab, LB, DRW, 6.7 Cummins/Aisin, 3.73, Auto Level Rear Air Suspension, Reese 20k Elite Hitch, Amp Bedstep 2, Aero 70 Gal Underbed Fuel Tank
