  • Arctic Fox North Fork

It appears that the 2020 AF North Fork (22G, 25R, 25W, etc...) will be built with “Fully Welded, Thick-Wall Aluminum Frame Construction” instead of the old wood frame. Is anyone aware of any other new features?

I believe all AF models have had aluminum wall construction since the early 2000s, if not before? I know our 2017 22G does. Definitely not a new feature.

It wasn't the erly 2000's that the change was made--sometime in the mid 2000's I think.

X2. Our 2012 is aluminum construction. North Fork appears to be more marketing than substance.

I believe Nash still uses wood framing for much of their lineup.

I wondered what the difference was between Nash and AF, Nash is more cheaply built then? I watched a factory video and the frames were aluminum. I have an 2016 AF 25Y

I believe Nash is still using wood framing and some of the more standard features on AF are options on Nash. The double pane windows come to mind as an option on Nash. NW changes specs and features a lot so the windows could be standard now.

I wouldn’t say that. Wood construction is less expensive. Nash also are built on the narrower jig. They’re 8ft wide instead of 8.6, and as Hammster said probably have a few less goodies as standard. They do have a great feature set and are lighter for less muscular tow rigs.
But I wouldn’t say cheaply constructed.
