  • Duration of Polls

Polls keep popping up that were started as early as 2005. With that range are they of any value? Typically polls are a snapshot of conditions etc. for a certain time frame.

Can they be limited to a certain time frame and after that no more voting is allowed? This could allow looking at old polls but not additional voting.

I will look in the control panel and see if a feature is there to control this.

I have not found a feature currently in the control panel that would do what your asking. I did find an add on that sounds like it might but first need to run it by shotgun to make sure its not something that is going to cause more harm then good.

To get the “window of time” for statistics that are shared, it might be easier to “freeze” the polls from the past and set up a similar poll for the present to get a new snapshot of current information.

There are folks who have moved from bumper to fiver, or the other way. Once you have voted, you can’t change your answer.
Some have left the fold for whatever reason and their answers may no longer be valid.

Perhaps a year is a good “window of time” for the poll?

This is a pretty good idea. A new poll beginning each year would give an idea of current ownership and trends from both NW and NROA.
