The Jefferson's won't be able to make it after all. We are dealing with a family emergency (Kirk's mom fell). We are so bummed that we won't be there, we were really looking forward to seeing you all! And Garry G - sorry about the burritos Have a wonderful time, see you next year!

                Quartzite gathering!

Well the signs went up today and the directions are below. Come when you can and leave when you're ready (per BLM there is a 14 day limit). We will be arriving on January 15th. The Big Tent RV Event happens in Quartzite Jan 18 - 26. No real agendas to the gathering other than probably a pot luck or Taco bar a night or two and most nights we sit around the campfire and chat about whatever.

                DIRECTIONS:

                33

                  Campsite:

6.5 miles north of the town of Quartzsite, on Highway 95, is Plomosa Road. You'll see the BLM check-in station on the corner, but stopping there is not mandatory.

Turn east on Plomosa Road and travel 2 miles to a dirt road, turn off to the left (north). Travel the dirt road for a 1/2 mile. You should be seeing the AF trailers from there.

                  The GPS coordinates are:

                  33 45.917'
                  -114 10.827'

When we arrive on the 20th, we'll put a NROA sign at the dirt road cut-off, for anyone coming after us & not familiar with the area:

Arrived at the unofficial, unsanctioned & non-certified 'Quartzsite Mini-Rally' just after noon today.

There were 14 other Northwood trailers in camp. We were surprised by the great turnout & more arriving today!

Overcast today with a high of about 70. Cool in the evenings.

                        EXACT GPS LOCATION:

                        33. 45 46

We made it to back tp Yuma from the Quartzsite rally. Managed to forget to pack the propane cylinder from the evening bonfire. Whoever has room, just keep it. See you all there next year. Maybe next year we could get Northwood to sponsor the camping fee?

We had 22 Northwood rigs this morning... with some leaving and some new arrivals today.

Clear weather with low 70's during the day and low 40's at night.

Camp is quiet during the day with most everyone exploring the RV show, town or surrounding areas. Early evenings is the nightly campfire (LP fire-pits) time.
