  • 32-5m real life weight

I am seriously looking at the 32-5m but based on other posts relative to the 29-5k, I am worried about pin weight. My tow rig is a 2017 Chevy 3500 HD Dually with Duramax / Allison combo. The load capacity on the sticker is approx 4500 lbs. My current rig only has a pin weight of approx 2400-2600 lbs but I did buy this truck thinking about a possible future pin weight on a new rig of about 3500 lbs. 3500 lbs of trailer pin weight would be ok with all my other stuff I load.

I calc the dry hitch weight of the 32-5m at 2800 lbs + 25% = 3500 lbs. What I didn't consider is the Onan generator and the possible washer / dryer unit. If anybody has some real life weight numbers they can share, I would really appreciate it ? If these rigs push the 4000 lbs pin weight range then I would probably have to pull out my Trailer Saver BD-5 and replace with a Goosebox + run my Aux tank at 50% capacity. That combination saves 500lbs but obviously nobody likes to buy nice + expensive things just not to use them.

    Thank you
    Jeff

Well, new to the site but found my answers through the search bar. It appears I can count on a 4000lb pin weight vs my calculated 3500lbs. That is a bummer to have a new dually and it not be rated for a 35' 5th wheel with normal travel loads.

Thank you so much Dave. it appears my pin weight worries are not as bad as I thought. I figured I would be good at anything under 3500 lbs.
