  • Flag holder - 27.5L

    Hey all,

On our SOB we had the heavy metal frame around the back loading door to give me a very solid place to mount a flag pole holder. Now I'm debating where to put the flag on the new rig. 2 key factors:
    • The higher I can get it with easy setup the better.
    • Solid - and as the pole flexs I don't want it rubbing on the trailer.
A buddy of mine put a ladder mount on his SOB - up high on the ladder. Medium winds and his ladder is jacked.

I've seen the 2 piece ladder mounts - Wondered if anyone is using those in windy areas and the results. (A buddy did a single point ladder mount and his ladder will never be the same)

Hitch mounts (trailer has the 2" receiver) seems the other option. Higher is better and these seem to start out pretty low.

What if anything are you all doing?

I have a 22' fiberglass flagpole that is mounted to my ladder with a two-part system (Flagpole Buddy mount).

Been in some hardy winds, with no issues with the pole, mounts or ladder.

That is almost EXACTLY what I was thinking about doing - at the same height for the bottom mount as well. Thanks for the feedback RocklinDave

I've got the flag pole buddy with a 20' pole mounted on the ladder. Used on previous rig and transferred to this one with no issues.
