Alaska Highway - The MUD Report

Almost 2 months ago Shawn & I began our journey from Alaska to Montana. We took 11 days to drive the 2,400 mile route from Anchorage to Great Falls, Montana.

We celebrated with no cracks in the windshield, no flat tires, no broken hitch, and no significant problems. The adventure went fairly smooth. However, the truck's alternator died our second day in Great Falls. We were extremely thankful it didn't happen along a remote stretch of the Alcan!

We have updated the blog with all the details of our Alcan adventure: mud-on-the-tires.blogspot.com/2018/10/alcan-anchorage-ak-to-great-falls-mt-25.html

After that, we left our little home in Great Falls for six weeks while we spent a few weeks with each of our Mothers plus a few days in Pagosa Springs, CO.

We are safely back in our little home and in Dillon, MT. Our next stops are Arco ID & Boise ID. Then we’ll have a few more stops before we settle in Sequim WA for the winter.

We hope you have had some good fall adventures and are looking forward to winter, as we are.

    Hugs, Arleen & Shawn

I had to be told how to use this old fuel pump in Muncho Lake. At $3 a liter, it was the most expensive diesel of our trip!

Tom & Deb, We're looking forward to hearing MANY tales of your travels in our future home area. We want to see pictures, too! We should be there by mid November. Also looking forward to seeing the girls & Julius!
