  • Cooper Landing - The MUD Report

COOPER LANDING, Alaska - in the heart of the Kenai Peninsula with the world's prettiest lake & river. We hiked, fished & kayaked. The travel blog is updated with all the details: https://mud-on-the-tires.blogspot.co...-aug-2018.html Since then, we spent an incredible 10 days with family in Seward. We are in Anchorage for a few days. After this, we will start a 2 week long, 2,400 mile migration to Montana - yes, we're driving the ALCAN.

The view from top of Slaughter Ridge. We climbed 2,500 feet & were rewarded with a view of the surrounding 3,000 - 4,000 foot high mountains & sparkling glacial Kenai Lake & River.

Me fishing the Kenai River near the Russian River confluence. We hooked 10 salmon and kept 2 small sockeyes.
