We had a 10 week trip planned for Aug - Oct across country to Chicago, Detroit, New York, etc.

Some parks are closed with no timeline for opening and of course 90% of the attractions (Ford Museums, NYC, national parks, etc) are all closed.

I felt sorry for the mom & pop RV parks we had to call for cancellations, but they all understood. Told them all we'll use their parks when we re-book our trip in 2021 or 22.
Dave, we have the same sort of trip planned for this year at the same timeframe. We haven't started cancelling things yet, but we probably will since most of all the attractions will still likely be closed.

We must not be meant to go. We've missed out on Wallowas twice now. First time my dad was dying and we had to get to Az ASAP. This time this pesky virus. Maybe 3rd time will be the charm.

We love Wallowa State Park and the surrounding area and the reservations are so hard to come by.

Three years ago, we camped there in our 3-man hiking tent and it rained like crazy. We packed up our wet tent and went to French Glen where thankfully the tent dried out. At that point, we decided my mom might have been right in pushing us to get a trailer. That was our last tent trip.

The following year, we took a rented Casita to Wallowa and happened to park next to a rare Arctic Fox 19B with gracious owners who used their trailer exactly how we envisioned using one. That's much of how we ended up with Ruby there last year.

          Oregon State Parks ~~~~~ Updated: 4:30 p.m. May 12, 2020

Some parks are now open to limited daytime use. Check website for information. More parks are opening daily—check back regularly.

We have made the difficult decision to keep the park system closed to camping at least through and including June 8.

Very limited in some cases. The state park near us, Joseph Stewart at Lost Creek Lake, only has the boat ramp area and its associated day use area open for example.

Looks like USFS campgrounds in Oregon are opening up by June 1st. At least Recreation.gov is taking reservations beginning then(maybe earlier in some instances).

We have reservations at Nehalem Bay in July. Hoping that's one of the ones that will open on June 9th.
