I was more concerned with your efforts. Try to give yourself a few days and stop at collier State park. The campground was rebuilt several years ago and the pads, electrical, water and sewer are better than most campgrounds. Go across the road to the logging museum there is a trail that goes under hy 97 and a arched laminated bridge to cross the river.

We did 140 to 97 last year, those roads were nice. Didn’t travel on 531.

My rig isn’t as large as yours, but I don’t recall any areas of concern.

Collier was nice, some mosquitoes, and lots of ground squirrels. Many campers were leaving their hoods open.

Probably the easiest way from Grants Pass is down I-5 to Medford, up Hwy 62 to Hwy-140 East towards Klamath Falls. At Rocky Point you can cut across the upper end of Klamath Lake over to Hwy 97 and then up to Collier State Park. Or you can go down the west side of Klamath Lake and into Klamath Falls and then up 97 North to Collier. If you want to take the scenic route stay on Hwy 62 and go into Crater Lake (great if you have never been there) then down to Hwy 97 and on to Collier. Steep and curves in Crater Lake but that Dodge should be able to handle it!
