  • Reno, end of October

I will be attending a wedding at the end of October and looking for recommendations on an RV park to stay in on the 30th and 31st.
Something that has easy access to RTC is highly desirable. I'm not really into casino lots.
What say you folks that are "in the know"?

When in the Reno area, we stay at the Sparks Marina RV Park.

Quiet, modern, clean. Only a few minutes from downtown Reno.

        Grand Sierra?
I see it is close to the airport. How was the jet noise overnight?

          Looks very nice!
Washoe County has an ordinance where you cannot take the camper off the truck and I don't want to deal with parking the truck/camper downtown, hence the RTC easy access being highly desirable. It looks like there is no direct line between Sparks Marina RV Park and downtown Reno, making a change of lines necessary.

We have not stayed there yet, but our neighbor has a Class A and he highly recommends Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort in Verdi.

Also, as mentioned above, Grand Sierra Resort RV Park may be worth a shot - it's right in the downtown area...

            Hope this helps!

              Hi Icamel,

I've visited camping friends at the Sparks Marina RV Park and it's nice! I live about 2 miles East of the airport as the crow (or 737) flies and our jet noise is very minimal, you should be fine there. Also, lots of shopping, restaurants and Imax nearby. Getting to RTC from there via Lyft or Uber shouldn't be too expensive.

Also, there is River's Edge RV Park, a bit closer. However, it is directly under the flight path to the active runway and in an area that is somewhat less nice. River's Edge has mostly permanent residents, too.

              Feel free to PM me.
