  • Best Route from Cody, Wy to I-90?

Should I take US-14 from Greybull to Sheridan or drop down to US-16 from Worland to Buffalo? On a map, they both look like they could be a challenge pulling my 27-5L. Any advice is most appreciated.

We went the Buffalo route as people told us the Sheridan route was a steeper grade.
The view east of ten sleep was something else DW wanted to move.

Not a problem at all even with slow going because of construction.
This was when we had our 2004 Silverado crew cab other than that same config you have.

US-16 across the southern end of the Bighorns would be way more civilized towing than 14 at the north end. I've done 16 in a class C a couple of times. Unfortunately you will miss the Wagon Box Fight Memorial.

Agree. We drove Hwy 16. Itís beautiful but much easier than 14.

You shouldn't have a problem with either with your set-up. We usually go via the Beartooth. Enjoy Cody. Be sure to visit the Museum there. It is absolutely world class. When we were there, veterans were free so ask if they don't offer.

Thanks for the question. We are going to be heading that way next month ourselves and Good Sam's Trip Planner had us going 14 whereas Google Maps takes us 16. We're going 16!
