  • Lolo, Montana: The Mud Report

Lolo, Montana: We stayed here for a few weeks to get Arleen's back fixed and to explore the Bitterroot Valley and surrounding mountains. We have updated the travel blog with all the details. Just click on the link below.

Now, we are spending three weeks in Saint Regis, Montana. Pending wild fires (it's SO smoky here), we hope to return to the Missoula/Lolo area for appointments. Plus, Arleen still has to take it easy for another four weeks. After that we make our way to the Oregon coast for fall.

Expect the next blog in about three weeks.

Happy travels to you during the last few weeks of summer!

We stayed at the Square Dancing Center Campground. It was good fun to watch them. Maybe when we go back we can try it!

There were 3 free cold water washers and clothes lines for drying

Hope Arleen's back is doing better. We visited Lolo during the Lewis and Clark anniversary. The hot springs had a display all set up. Also enjoyed the visitor center on the Idaho border. The coolest thing though was when we discovered "The Jack". Is it still operating? I remember they had huge swings attached to the high ceiling.

Steve, We did not make it to "The Jack" this time. We heard great reviews about it! If we go back to Lolo, we'll have to go there. We'll let you know if the swing is still there!
